SERD – the South East Researcher Developers network – is an inclusive, online, practice sharing network. Membership is open to everyone with an interest in enabling researchers and the research environment. SERD was founded by Dr Carol Spencely, at the University of Surrey, in 2016, initially as a network for all researcher developers in the South East region, of the UK.
Now, SERD is open to all research enabling people and geographies – including technical staff, careers consultants, researcher developers, research managers, and independent professional developers and freelancers working in the research space across the Uk and beyond.
If you support, develop, enable or empower researchers – we welcome you to join SERD.
SERD welcomes everyone with an interest in supporting researchers across all their career stages and in all spaces. We invite research enablers to join including researcher developers, independent consultants, careers consultants, HR and technical specialists – everyone with an interest in researcher development.
Our members are across the UK and beyond. We have retained the name SERD as it reflects our origins!
We invite you to join SERD - send us a message and join our network today!
